How can I get a summer job?

I know this has been asked a million times. But my question is whether HOW I get a summer job? I am totally confused. I already have a resume because I did a few years ago (I updated recently). Should I go in person and give companies my resume? Do I look in the Help Wanted section of newspapers? Or should I just go shopping / restaraunts and ask if they want a teenager? Or should I apply online?? I am really in disarray, I want to start work in early July. Do you think too late? I am already aware of the laws of child labor and stuff in my state. My only question is * how * to find and gain employment. Someone Please answer this question for me. Thank you! :)

I just got my first job yesterday! Thus I because: 1) Go to a local area, with lots of fast food and shopping. Find the places closest to home with gas at 3.59 / gallon! 2) Ask us a request as many stores as possible, rely on 80% of your requests are ignored. (Harsh I know, but it's a competitive world there!) 3) Fill out all application. Use a pen with blue ink or black and very, very neat handwriting. Try not to leave blank and nothing mentioned volunteer activities and extracirricular! 4) Wait for an answer. (This is the hardest part!) If nothing happens in a week or two, try sites online job. The best job for the summer time is www.snagajob.com. So, back to businesses and ask them how your application is coming along. 5) If you are interviewed, dress in your Sunday clothes and arrive 5 minutes earlier. Be as professional as humanly possible (avoiding the bad grammar chewing gum, leaving on your cell phone, etc.) 6) Pray for the best and that something will happen! Good Luck:) PS: If you are looking for something From June, you may want to wait a little. People will soon forget your application! In addition, resumes are not really necessary for a job Summer … it's more for a square;)
